Great Island! People are smiley, gentle and meek! Spirit of Xenios Zeus lives here! Kaladi and Firri Ammos are the best beaches and immediately next are Melidoni and Chalkos! Avlemonas, Kapsali, Agia Pelagia and Diakofti are small villages with Ports but are for swimming also! Potamos, Chora with her Castle and Livadi are bigger villages that you can have night life also. Mylopotamos with the forest and waterfalls (low fall in summer) give you a day of coolness in hot days. Sunset can be seen from Kato Chora village! Hytra Cave can be reached by the boat of Captain Spyros, except the West winding days! Taverns with tasty Kitherian cuisine, and not only and Cafe are everywhere! Ένα νησί που πραγματικά συνδυάζει την κυκλαδίτικη ( ξεραΐλα), Κρητική (βουνά) και Ιόνια ( ζεστή θάλασσα) ομορφιά. Οι παραλίες της ήταν υπέροχες κάθε μία με την δικιά της ομορφιά αλλά μέχρι να παω εκεί κουραζόμουν από τις στροφές και τούς στενούς δρόμους. Το ταξίδι μου το έκανα με Yamaha Krypton, όμως βαρέθηκα τα βουνά της που ήταν σαν να τα διάβαζα καθημερινά, δλδ ανέβα με 3 ή 4 στροφές το βουνό κάνε μετά μια στροφή 180 μοιρών και κατέβα το ίδιο βουνό με 3-4 στροφές για να πας στο επόμενο και στο επόμενο κ.ο.κ. Λοιπόν έμενα ορεινά στο κέντρο του νησιού, για να πάω στην πιο κοντινή παραλία Cosmote έλεγχος μου το είπε ποιος μου το είπε Έτσι πρέπει να γράφεις10 χλμ απόσταση ήθελα 15 με 20 λεπτά, να περάσω και 3 βουνά και στην επιστροφή ξανά μανά το ίδιο. Όταν πήγα στη χώρα 13 χλμ απόσταση, έκανα 45 λεπτά Ένα άλλο μειονέκτημα που βρήκα ήταν ότι οι τιμές ήταν ακριβές και όσο για να κάτσεις σε ξαπλώστρα σου έβγαινε ο κούκος αηδόνι. 2 ξαπλώστρες, ομπρέλα και 2 καφέδες 18€ παρακαλώ, το σουβλάκι 2,5€ και σε ταβέρνα οικονομικά τα βασικά σαλάτα, μπριζόλα για 2 άτομα 30€, ( δεν το λες φτηνό νησί). Το κακό είναι ότι το ξέρουν και ο τουρισμός είναι σε φθίνουσα μορφή αλλά...... Τέλος για να πω και κάτι καλό ο γηγενής πληθυσμός είναι πολύ ήσυχοι άνθρωποι, διαφωτιστικοι σε ότι τους ρωτήσεις και η θάλασσα των Κυθήρων παρότι βρέχεται από 3 πελάγη...
