The island's beauty is immediately apparent as you approach by ferry, with the sight of the traditional white and blue houses set against the lush green hills and the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Read moreNot a recommended holiday destination. Sea and beaches are terrible, full of rocks and stones. Sea water is not clear at all, probably because of the boats coming and leaving the island all day long. The only worth visiting beach that also had rocks but clearer waters is the one at Monastiri which has no sunbeds or umbrellas. Other than that, Love Bay and Russian Bay feel like you are walking on mud and dirt. Prices are generally ok and food at the restaurants in the city was very good. People at the island were helpful and polite. Nice walk down the port at night time but don't take the boat to go at Galatas. There is literally nothing to do. Lemonodasos which is the islands famous destination is not a tourist attraction any more and has nothing to offer. The islands natural beauty, trees and flowers, is very nice. The temple of Poseidon was just a few rocks on the ground, nothing worth the ride. Just for a day, to pass and go, grab something to eat and walk...
