Had a lovely time walking our dogs with Mum. I don't walk very well and with a stick (MS, balance & coordination is rubbish!) So it was pretty hairy coming down some more gently sloping rocks from the headland (I remember swimming there in the past). It was lovely walking across the beach. We went off the beach by the kiosk and it's a shame it's not a bit better for those of us who don't walk well. I got up the steps by crawling/using the bit of wall but then fell over on the sandy path! I was very grateful to a lovely man who came to my aid, especially because he didn't try and get me straight up as is often our natural response. It was good to have a moment to collect myself and run a damage report! So thank you, much appreciated.    Read moreA lovely little beach a mixture of sand and shingle with little sandy gullies to the right, also has rock pools and stones to turn looking for crabs and little fish with a shrimp net. To the right of the bay is a large carpark with clean public toilets, and a cafe serving hot drinks and cold icecreams. The cafe has got a couple of steps so access to it with a wheelchair is tricky but access to the beach from the left side has a slipway on to the beach also a large carpark at the top of the beach has a ramp in the centre for wheelchairs albeit...
   Read moreI was supposed to only be transiting between St Malo and poole, but after hearing it was legal to ride my motorcycle on the beach, i changed my ferry to experience riding on the sand, during summer months, you can only do it from 7pm till 10am, but it ticked the box in the bucket list.
