Wybierając się nad Balaton nie można pominąć Tihany, położonej na północnym brzegu jeziora. W okolicy znajduje się mnóstwo zabytków, a miasto przyciąga zniewalającym zapachem lawendy. Jedną z najważniejszych atrakcji tej miejscowości, jest opactwo benedyktyńskie założone w 1055 roku, które zdobią dwie charakterystyczne wieże, widoczne już z oddali. Fioletowe rośliny to symbol Balatonu, dlatego podczas pobytu musiałam się nimi nacieszyć. Udałam się na pola, by podziwiać cudowne kwitnięcie, a w mieście rozkoszowałam się lodami lawendowymi lub kawą z dodatkiem...
