I am student of this college.The oldest campus of Dr. D. Y. Patil group of Institutions. This campus is started in year 1983 and further nurtured by our visionary Chairman Hon’ble Dr. P. D. Patil with the vision “Empowerment through knowledge” “Better Education Better World”. The institute is being progressed under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Dr. Somnath Patil.

Institute has well maintained lawns, trees and handy plantations leading to a healthy and pleasant environment. This institute is in the heart of the city. Walkable distance from public transports such as Bus, Railway and Metro. This institute offers 9 Undergraduate Programs including programs in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Automation and Robotics and 5 PG programs.

This institute is awarded “Best College Award” by Savitribai Phule Pune University. The Institute is ranked in top 200 Engineering Institutions in India including IIT’s and NIT’s in NIRF ranking framework by MHRD, Government of India. The institute is accredited by NAAC with A grade CGPA 3.26. Seven UG Programs and 1 PG Program (MBA) are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for maintaining international quality standards in technical education.

The Institute has been augmented with a new infrastructure which interplays intelligent design and space articulation with ergonomically designed classrooms and laboratories having an impressive aesthetic look. The classrooms and seminar-halls are spacious, ICT enabled, along with high-speed internet and wi-fi facility. Laboratories are well equipped with latest equipment’s and software. Library has a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources including subscription to many national and international journals, magazines, and periodicals.

World class hostel facilities are available for boys and girls in campus. 24 hours medical facilities are available at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College Hospital in a vicinity of the campus. DIT has left no stone untouched to reach the height of merit in engineering education. Qualified, veteran and proficient faculty at the Institute is the basic backbone of the Institute involved in teaching learning process to achieve academic excellence. Faculty members are also involved in research and have undertaken research individually as well as in collaboration. To accomplish holistic development of the students, the Institute has various student’s chapters of professional organizations. The Institute is in the close vicinity of two major industrial zones - Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Pune and MIDC Industrial area of Bhosari, Chinchwad & Chakan. The preferred location for campus drives by the industries. The professional as well as technical trainings with industries are being conducted right from first year itself for the students to enhance their employability skills. All eligible and interested students are being placed every year. The institute has strong tie up with Industries for Internship. The institute has an ecosystem for inculcating a tradition of innovation driven entrepreneurship in faculty...

So guys please note following points before you join this college for engineering

1.}All the reviews with 5 stars are fake, why? because they all are the students from some groups in college, who gives 5stars in return of great internals.

2.}About college placements, there will be plenty of companies But all be either 'call centre type' or non technical. [Mechanical have worst situation as only 20-30 students placed in core company out of 200 students]

3.} College area soo tiny /small that you will not even feel its engineering college, Area is also cheap for standards and too much expensive to live(room rent cost 3000 per person)

4.}your academics will be great as there are good teachers but there will not be any other activities except study & practicals

5.} college fees is toooo much more than 1lakh+ (if you will have pending fees in college you will never get it back)

Overall this is not perfect college as engineering, neither for college life nor for good career.

Please please please think again.

1.] 5 star असलेली सर्व reviews बनावट आहेत, कारण ते सर्व महाविद्यालयातील काही groups मधील विद्यार्थी आहेत, जे internals बदल्यात 5 star देतात.

२.] college महाविद्यालयीन प्लेसमेंट बद्दल, बरीच कंपन्या उपलब्ध आहेत पण सर्व एकतर 'कॉल सेंटर टाइप' किंवा नॉन टेक्निकल आहेत. [मेकॅनिकलची परिस्थिती अत्यंत वाईट आहे कारण २०० विद्यार्थ्यांपैकी केवळ 20-30 विद्यार्थ्यांना कोअर कंपनीत place होतात]

3.] college area इतके लहान / छोटे आहे की तुम्हाला ते engineering college देखील वाटत नाही, राहणे तर खूपच महाग आहे ( room rent प्रत्येक व्यक्तीसाठी 3000 रुपये आहे)

4.] staff बरा आहे परंतु अभ्यास व व्यावहारिक व्यतिरिक्त इतर कोणतेही उपक्रम होणार नाहीत

5.] college fees १ लाखपेक्षा जास्त आहे (जर तुमच्याकडे महाविद्यालयात फी बाकी असेल तर ती परत पण लवकर मिळणार नाही )

Overall हे engineering college ना lifestyle ने better आहे ना career बदल.

DIT comes under one of the best colleges of Pune University and from the past few years it has been receiving number of awards to add to its glory. The college provides an excellent platform for students to groom themselves. Teachers are very friendly and are always ready to help and guide the students. There is a mentor/guardian system in which a batch of students are allotted a single teacher as their mentor with whom students can always share their problems. This has really helped us in making a good relation with our teacher. There are various clubs and societies in the college which are run by us students. Throughout the year number of tech-fest and competitions are organized by students which provide a good platform for the participants to show-case their talent and thus help in their personality growth. The college takes its students as it's responsibility. A lot of attention is given to the students right from 3rd year for their placement. Various training classes are organized which prepare the student for company placement. From technical training to mock interviews from GD classes to aptitude classes the college provides it all. The Placement in pretty good . There are good number of reputed companies which come for the placement drive throughout the year and students get selected in large number. The infrastructure of the college is very good. From digital-library to reading room and well equipped laboratories the college provides good facility for its students.
