We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming farmhouse "Jail Baug" (जाईल बाग) nestled in the picturesque countryside at the foot steps of Sinhhad fort just 30 km from Pune, and I must say that it was an experience worth cherishing. From the warm hospitality to the delectable food, every aspect of our stay exceeded my expectations and left us with unforgettable memories. Overall property is very well maintained with 4-5 bedrooms and capacity to accommodate upto 20 people.

First and foremost, I have to commend the farmhouse's exceptional food service. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with the enticing aroma of freshly prepared tea, pakoda and bhel. Each meal was a celebration of home made goodness, with an emphasis on quality, taste and hygiene. The skilled cooks effortlessly crafted dishes like chicken curry, bharli vangi, mutter Paneer, bhakari, indrayani rice dal and vegetable salad and warm gulab jamun for sweet tooth.

The service at the farmhouse was impeccable. The staff members were genuinely warm and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They were always attentive to my needs and eager to provide assistance, ensuring that every detail of our stay was taken care of. Their passion for the farmhouse and their dedication to creating a memorable experience for guests was truly commendable.

Apart from the culinary delights, there were numerous activities and experiences to enjoy during my stay. I had the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll through the scenic countryside, explore the nearby farms and hills.

Overall, our farmhouse stay was an exceptional experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. The outstanding food service, commitment to sustainability, and warm hospitality combined to create a memorable getaway. I would highly recommend this farmhouse to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat, where the delicious flavors of the countryside will leave you yearning for more. Lovely spacious, comfortable Villa with ample green flowering plants, trees and surrounding fields of crops! Purpose: Trekking to Sinhagad

Our large group of trekkers to ‘Sinhagad Fort’, found this Villa… 1- ideal to rest indoors through the day time playing board games and chatting (2pm - 6pm) 2- enjoy the out-door sitting through the evening (7pm - 11pm) over drinks and dinner 3- leave villa at 5am for the Sinhagad trek in the darkness of the early morning 4- returning by 10.45am from Trek, enjoying the breakfast, freshening up and departing at 12pm

The simple care taker family (a couple) prepares and serves the needed meals and breakfast, piping hot and enjoyable.

Living room for 20-22 people #1 guest bathroom and #1 Bedroom (double bed) with the adjacent guest bathroom on Ground floor #2 stylish bedrooms (double bed) with couch cum bed on 1st floor #1 Bedroom (double bed) on 2nd floor large spaces outdoor with 2 dozen outdoor stackable chairs

All rooms have excellent AC’s, sparking clean home, clean bedsheets and towels.

Based on reviews on google and AirBnB I booked this property in mid Dec 2024 ( 2 weeks ago) for 2 nights for 17 people (5 senior citizens in late 70s and early 80s incl and 1 infant). It was informed well in advance about the requirement of clean and hygienic place was of utmost importance considering senior citizens. We left the property after spending one night.

Pros: Convenient location from Pune Big property with a backyard farm, sit out, pool and ample parking space. Can visit Sinhagad by car or by foot from paytha.

Cons: Desperate need for overall cleanliness inside the property mainly in the common living room area and kitchen and dining. Furniture was not clean, cutlery and crockery had some mold smell. Kitchen was not hygienic at all. It felt like a warzone. Fridge given to us to use had stains and was dirty still we used it. Food Service was late when we arrived and even next day during breakfast. Caretaker will come only at 8 am to start work hence we were making our own tea at 6 am. Had hot water issues the next day which delayed our plans which couldn’t be resolved.

Gave this feedback to the owner of the property and suggested to look into this more frequently to keep things under control. Feedback was taken and hope there...
