Cheran Departmental Store — Local services in Tamil Nadu

Expected a tamil run business going by the name, but turns out to be keralites run business don't know if it new normal of businesses changing hands rapidly in these corona times or whether it's very common for this bordering town of the two states. Getting back to the business, nice departmental store spacious and vast collection. My brother-in-law seems to have had fun times trying to explain in Tamil and get தாயக்கட்டை (crucial gambling equipment of our great epic Mahabharata ) to the shop attendant (who may have known only Malayalam most probably) at their first floor toys and gift section due to communication / language problems :-o. But we finally got it explaining it at the check out...

We get pretty much all grocery items .. but they intentionally gives chocolates instead of change. It may be an childish complaint but u don't know there is a big scam behind that .And one more thing they don't trust customers and no smiling...
