Chauli Ki Jali Peak in Mukteshwar is a hidden gem in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, offering a breathtaking blend of natural beauty, spirituality, and adventure. This mesmerizing destination is a must-visit for anyone exploring the Himalayas.

The name "Chauli Ki Jali" translates to "rocky window," and it perfectly encapsulates the essence of this place. The peak is renowned for its massive, granite cliffs that have been naturally carved over centuries, creating awe-inspiring patterns and formations. These unique rock formations not only provide a sense of adventure but also serve as a sacred site for pilgrims.

The main attraction here is the natural lattice-like structure in the rocks, where visitors can walk and even sit. This "jali" offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and the valley below. The sight of the sun rising behind the snow-capped peaks is simply breathtaking, making it a popular spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts.

Chauli Ki Jali is also associated with Hindu mythology, believed to be the place where Lord Shiva performed the cosmic Tandava dance. Consequently, it holds great religious significance and is frequented by pilgrims who come to seek blessings and meditate in this spiritually charged environment.

Adventure seekers will find this place fascinating as well. The rugged terrain is ideal for rock climbing and rappelling. Local adventure groups organize activities here, allowing visitors to experience an adrenaline rush against the backdrop of majestic mountains.

Surrounding Chauli Ki Jali is dense forest that teems with diverse flora and fauna. It's not uncommon to spot a variety of birds and even some wildlife during a visit. The tranquil atmosphere adds to the overall charm of this place, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers.

In terms of accessibility, Mukteshwar is well-connected by road from major cities like Delhi and Nainital, and Chauli Ki Jali is just a short drive from the town center.

In conclusion, Chauli Ki Jali Peak in Mukteshwar is a captivating blend of natural wonder, spirituality, and adventure. Whether you're a photographer, a nature lover, a pilgrim, or an adventure enthusiast, this destination offers something for everyone. A visit to Chauli Ki Jali is an opportunity to connect with nature, experience serenity, and witness the grandeur of...

This place is situated just beside the Mukteshwar Dham Temple. There is walkway just beside the entry of the temple that leads you to this place. On the entry to the walkway, you have small open shops and eateries where you can munch on Samosa, Kachori, Fruit Chat, Rajma Chawal, Dal Chawal and much more.

You need to walk around 500 mts before you reach this place and once you reach there are more eateries. There are even two ziplines if you are someone who loves thrill. The place is now heavily commercialized and that's my first complain with this scenic place. Chauli ki Jhali is essentially a mountain cliff which gives you breath-taking views of Himalayas and there is no wonder this place is so popular but due to heavy commercialization the place is very dirty and too crowded.

You can spend good 15-20 mins here taking back the mesmerizing views the place has to offer. Also dno't forget to click some pics on the first cliff just when you enter the area. That spot is a good one.

Totally recommened and more so...

Wow what a place is this... Many awesome views from this place at high altitude. I visited this place sometimes ago. And I can say the peace, the calm, the beauty, mountain views, the nature and many more beauties are here.

A walk around 500 mts before reach this place and once reach there are more food stalls here. Some famous Maggie points are here and I ordered them to make without onion and garlic and they made it for me. Really taste was delicious with hot coffee.

There are two ziplines if you loved to do adventure activities. There are more than 2 cliffs here. From those cliffs can see mountain views and those views are so mesmerizing. This place is situated at high altitude and that's why it is cool and peaceful. I was surprised that the nature's view was really beautiful at Chauli ki jali.

Anyone can spend good half an hour to 2 hours here taking back the mesmerizing views the place has to offer. Also dont forget to click some pics on the first cliff just when you enter the area. That spot...

Chauli Ki Jali also known as Chauthi Jali is a visitor’s attraction located behind the cliff of Mukteshwar temple. It is located at a distance of 250 metres from the Mukteshwar temple. ‘Chauli’ means rock and ‘Jali’ means hole. Chauli ki Jali a favourite among the adventurous and the trekkers lovers. The trekking and paragliding is one of the famous tourist activity here along with various adventure sports too which is sure to give one some adrenaline rush. Another myth about the origin of the hole goes that Sam Devta was crossing this place with his Ganpati and while crossing he found Lord Shiva in deep meditation on these rocks. He politely asked Lord Shiva to move from that place however, the Lord didn’t hear him clearly and got angry at the disturbance and stuck the rocks with his weapon. Thereby, making a hole in there.
