Nalasopara ST Stand — Local services in Vasai-Virar

The enquiry officers and drivers & conductors on the Konkan route at Nalasopara MSRTC depot are very polite, helpful, and supportive towards passengers. Their behaviour makes the journey pleasant and smooth. However, the drivers and conductors on Thane and other routes often speak with ego and attitude, sometimes even ignoring passengers' queries. If asked about stops, they either don't respond properly or give sarcastic replies, which leaves passengers disappointed.

The bus service at Nalasopara depot is very punctual and well-scheduled. I have been travelling on the Nalasopara to Chiplun and Nalasopara to Dapoli routes for the last 9 years, and not even once have I faced a bus delay or cancellation. The service is truly reliable and commendable.

However, the main concern is the poor condition of the buses on Konkan long-distance routes. Most buses have Ashok Leyland bodies with old Tata seats, where half of the seats have no side handles or only iron rods instead of proper armrests. Recently, some Nim Aram white-colored buses have been introduced, but the fleet mostly consists of mixed spare parts buses. It is a humble request to the authorities to provide better-conditioned buses on Konkan long routes to ensure a comfortable journey for passengers.

Another issue is the beggars occupying seats at the depot all day, leaving no space for passengers to sit. They dirty the premises by eating and littering, which makes the environment unpleasant. Authorities should take strict action against this.

Most pathetic bus depo in Maharashtra. They take bookings for AC buses n send normal lal dabba buses. Always delayed. Never on time. No announcements, no information provided...
