Two Fish Divers Bunaken — Local services in Manado

Utterly fantastic in every way! I dived with Tian, Colin and Maia for a week as well as staying on the resort and every aspect of the operation is top notch.

The diving is astonishing. Clear blue water, plummeting walls and a ton of life. I’ve never seen so many turtles: there were several points where the only response left to me was to just giggle at how many I could see at the same time!! They are taking off, landing, having a nap or just swimming by and taking no heed at all if you happen to be in the way! But there is so much more life than just the turtles. We saw froggies, rays, barracuda, trevallies, tuna, morays and a fantastic array of crabs, shrimps and nudis.

I dived with Tian and he was the perfect guide. Great fun, always ready to pose for a photo, always laughing but also safe, professional and with a fantastic eye for both big and tiny marine life (although I’m still not sure that the black marlin was out there!! 😂).

Colin and Maia do a great job of making sure things run smoothly and were also great to dive with. I managed to get a fairly nasty ear infection while I was there and they were able help me treat that meaning that I only sat out one planned dive.

The food and the bar area are great - even with me there as the only guest that week, it was still a great place to hang out and Tian and Geraldo don’t need too much encouragement for a music night!

What an imazing experience we had at Two Fish Divers Bunaken. We were welcomed very friendly by Abraham who explained everything about how it works at Two Fish Bunaken. We felt at home right away. Beautiful Cottages, imazing pool and great chill place with hammocks and fatboys sitting bags. Besides Abraham, all staff was really relaxed, friendly and showed interest in us as a person and not as just guests. The way they got the place organized was impeccable! And by having all guest at breakfast, lunch and diner all at the same time and at long sharing tables made the interaction as being one big family. About diving and snorkling they take their job very seriously: Safety First!!! But still all in a very nice and easy going way. Also my two daughters who where quite hesitant in going there had the biggest smile on their faces from disembarking the boat until embarking the boat when leaving. Even one of them broke into tears in not wanting to leave and having to say goodbye. Even 2 weeks later when relaxing at a luxurieus villa in Bali they kind of suggested to maybe return to Two Fish at Bunaken for the last few days of our holiday. So all credits to Sam's and Ilse's staff at Two Fish Bunaken for making this an unforgettable experience and I'm sure I'll be visiting them again some day. For the price, it doesn't get much better than TwoFish Divers in Bunaken. Meals are always very tasty, the resort is well run, the staff are very nice, very professional and the diving is fantastic. Arjun is an excellent instructor and did a great job certifying 3 kids in our party. Our dive guide was Jecky/Jeq and I have to say I have never had a guide as good as him. He gave very clear dive briefings, was very safety-conscious, and frequently checked on our air throughout the dives. He was also great at finding critters, AND, he knew the scientific binomial names of almost everything I asked him about that he found for us on the dives!! Wow. We felt very safe diving with him. If only he could be my guide on all my future dives. The Standard rooms are cooler but noisy due to being next to the road, and sometimes fumes (from the generator or compressor?) could be smelled in the early mornings. The smooth tiled floors in the Standard rooms get sticky from being cleaned with the island water that is slightly brackish (but all resorts on Bunaken have this issue - the upside is that mosquitoes are less of a problem compared with islands that have fresh water). The cottages are warmer compared to the Standard rooms but without the sticky floor issue because their floors are wood. All dive equipment is well maintained and of good quality. All their wetsuits are shorties. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to...
