Sullivan's Country Grocer — Local services in County Galway

We were in Ireland in Oct of 2024. We drove from Galway to the Kylemore Abbey which to our dismay was closed due to weather. Little did we know that it was a blessing in disguise as on our way back we passed through Oughterard and since we had time to spare we stopped and visited Sullivan's Country Grocer. They were out of sausage rolls when we first entered but we opted to wait the 15 minutes for the next batch. Boy am I glad we waited because I don't think I've ever had a sausage roll as fabulous as the one I tried here. I still dream about it! I also got a Irish Stew spice mix that I gifted to my friends back home and they said it made a delicious stew. Definitely stop here and try the sausage rolls. You...

My third visit here....seriously good coffee good quality....i bought a delicious fruit loaf here Saturday...good quality ingredients it reminded me of my grandmother railway cake many years ago....great selection of breads ive yet to try...and the open fire is a great touch so warm&welcoming i can honestly say this place has enhanced oughterard it has brought life & character to town its a pity you cant sit in to enjoy one's coffee&pastries perhaps this is work in progress??!!i would suggest painting front of building to give...

I absolutely love this place! Best arancini and sandwiches in Galway County. I've tried arancini from about 4 different places in Galway City and they were no good, so I was delighted to find delicious ones at Sullivan's. And their roast pepper&feta sandwich, such a perfect combination of tasty bread, smokey peppers and soft cheese! So yeah, these days me and my husband often go for lunch on the road to Oughterard, although it's a bit of a drive from the city, but it's totally worth it. Please...
