The Mullaghmore loop walk is 7.5km and takes around 3 hours. Though it usually takes us a lot longer with all the photo stops! So add extra if you usually do the same or like to spend a lot of time admiring the views.

At the start of the walk, you get lovely views of Lough Gealain, the lake which lies near the base of Mullaghmore. You’ll pass closer to its shores as you continue towards the mountain, too.

Eater little chilly in Sept but nice to get out. Easy parking on the road with a few coffee shops and hotels with in 10 minutes walking. Park and walk to the beach with less than 5 minute hike. Read moreLovely beach almost deserted on my visit. Tide goes out far enough but loads of space to walk. Very clean, a nice location to stretch the legs. Sand dunes all along 1side with lots of rabbits running about beyond the dunes. Plenty of parking might be different on a busy day. Beyond the head you can find rugged cliffs with waves crashing over them....
