Good local type pub. Been going there since the night it opened in 73'. Though, not the last few years. Pint is very good and costs €5.10. Thats fine. Grand young lad serving tables. Nicely spoken and mannered. The bar manager was friendly and not in yer face. Good Covid checks. Was happy to see that. My only gripe would the extortionate cost of a half pint. While as mentioned, the pint is €5.10, I was charged €8.40 for 2 half pints. Now there really is no justification for the huge difference in price. Went here for a match, a table for 4 probably spent roughly €40 in the space of an hour. Management comes and threatened to kick us out for not spending enough whilst we were in the process of ordering another round. He then kicks us out probably 15 mins later in a really aggressive and escalatory manner, even when I offer to buy another drink, just generally really poor and unnecessarily aggressive behaviour from higher management. Great local pub with a fantastic, warm atmosphere and a beautiful interior. Gorgeous pint of Guinness and the food is top-notch. I had the fish and chips recently and it was divine. The Traders has only been reopened a couple of weeks but already there is a wonderful and friendly atmosphere inside. The staff are attentive and go out of their way to help.
