I have changed my rating from 5 to 2 stars. Original review is at the bottom regarding farmaphobia.this review is for the Santa experience.
We recently went to see Santa here.
First I have to say. The price of tickets was ridiculous for the 4 of us. Not only that, when you return you go to get your photo only to find out it's 12euro more. Surely at 90 odd euro for the tickets a photo should have been included in the price. We wanted to have a photo of the experience for the kids so we got one. We then bought a frame to go with it. Then, when we got home, the frame that they sell with the photos is too small for the photos they sell you. Absolutely ridiculous.
Then the "cafe". Well, first off, the coffee (all the coffees) comes out of a glorified Nespresso machine. Kinda like your garage type coffee machines but no where near as nice as a garage coffee. Foul would be my words for it. I ask for an oatmilk cappuccino for my wife and as these machines make it that was not an option. I got a croissant with my "coffee". Got to the car and realised they must have given me a display model croissant or something. My Lord this thing was stale. So we can conclude the cafe has stale coffee with stale croissants that does not cater for vegans.
With farmaphobia I was impressed from the first year I went there. Each year got better...until... Nov 2021. Holy Christ the actors were shocking. The events were mediocre at best. Too many people being let through together means you end up bunching up on a load of people and the "scares" happen to the front of the group so you know what's coming.
This year a member of our group couldn't go last minute. I asked when booking it for a refund for the extra ticket and was told to call back after farmaphobia was over. I called a couple of times but had no answer so forgot about it. I asked when I went to see Santa and was laughed and and told I'd left it too long. I am not impressed with how causey has developed. In the beginning they developed in perfect ratio to the numbers attending. But as numbers increased they stopped developing at the same rate of customer adoption. This makes the experience less enjoyable every year.
They need to make more effort for the next farmaphobia.

Read moreWe visited the farm for the farmaphioba experience and all 4 of us had a great time and laugh. If your coming from the Midlands/ Kildare area head for Trim then Athboy as the sat navigation will bring you via some dangerous back roads and a 9km track of complete bog road. For the MORGUE attraction please be careful as the last room of this is completely covered in a dry ice / fog and you can't see a thing, readonly I'm mentioning this is because of SAFETY reasons if your suffer from anxiety or claustrophobia do not go into this attraction you will not do well . If your reading this and for some reason you find yourself in this room by accident please remember this point. Walk straight until you can feel the walls the slowly move your hands left as you walk slowly until you find the door ( it's on the second wall) then your free. I had 3 girls absolutely screaming and freaking out because they were starting to panic luckily for me I had told them to hold hands and do not let go of eachother and that way we will all get out together. Please note if a child gets lost in this room it will be very hard to find them. I brought this to the attention of the safety team and explained how to prevent this room from been totally dangerous and make it a scary but not a terrible experience. Enjoy farmaphioba its good crack. Visited on the 13th October at...
Read moreDear Causey Farm Team,
I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for the absolutely brilliant experience we had on Saturday for my sister’s hen party. From start to finish, the day was full of fun, laughter, and truly special memories.
Josh was a total star – so friendly, down-to-earth, and attentive. He really looked after us and made everyone feel at home. The horseshoe he gave to my younger sister from his parents’ farm was such a kind and thoughtful gesture – a token she’ll treasure as she heads into married life.
We had a ball meeting the animals (sheep, chickens, pigs, and deer!), learning how to bake traditional Irish brown bread, and laughing ourselves silly doing our version of an 8-hand Irish dance – which we've now decided absolutely has to be recreated at the wedding!😂
And after all the fun, the well-earned cupán tae was just perfect – relaxing with our own warm brown bread served with cheese and chutney, not to mention the home-baked scones with jam and cream, and fresh tea and coffee. The perfect end to a magical day.
Thank you again for the warm welcome and wonderful experience. I’ll be recommending Causey Farm to everyone – it’s an unforgettable spot for a hen party and a real celebration of Irish charm and craic.
Warmest...
