ITS ALL 5 🌟 until something goes wrong!!!! Be aware, some stores are not respecting statutory rights.
ISSUE AT MONCLER STORE
This store is 1 star because they are ignoring the customers statutory rights and Irish law. I purchased a jacket a few weeks ago. After a couple if wears I noticed the stitching was loose near the collar and returned the item with receipt to the kildare village store where purchased.
I decided to opt for a refund as is my statutory right under irish law if the goods are faulty and returned withing 30 days. This store does not offer refunds normally but has to in this case doe to fault. I had paid in cash so I'm legally entitled to be refunded in cash. I was told that firstly, refunds for faults are done by bank transfer even though they had the cash in the till. Secondly, as monclers head office is in Italy and uraly is "apparently" closed for all of August I will have to wait a just under a month for the bank transfer to be processed.
I protested to both the manager and assistant manager that this was in fact going against irish statutory rights but was told this was mu only option.
I then took my protest to the management of kildare village and was directed to a representative who deals with moncler on behalf of kildare village. They agreed this was an unacceptable situation, took my details and never contacted me since.
Clearly the only actions both the staff and management of moncler and kikdare village understand and respect is legal action, I will be taking this matter to the relevant organisations who oversee these matters namely CCPC competition and consumer...
Read moreKildare village is a great place to shop. While most of the shops are amazing, and the shop staff helpful and polite, unfortunately, 1 shop stands out as poor. Moncler. I have over the past 2 months, visited Kildare village numerous times, and spent a good bit of time, and money there, one purchase I made was in Moncler. The staff were unhelpful and quite rude, I bought a polo shirt, valued at €360, discounted to €260, and when I asked if they did the stars for the Kildare village app, they said they didn't, but would give me 10% off, which brought the shirt down to €234. 2 weeks later, having changed my mind, I brought the shirt back for a refund, it was refused, and I was told I could get store credit only. I know my consumer rights, so argued with the assistant manager, who got very rude, at one point asking my girlfriend to be quiet! I told him not to be rude, as I had not been rude. I asked him for the store details and his own name, which he provided, I walked out, and looked at the details, noting the number only had 9 digits, not 10, so I went back, he wasn't in the store, so I had to wait for him to get back, when he got back, I argued again about the number he gave me, he insisted that it was correct, it wasn't, I showed him, and he looked at the number, and realised it was wrong, and corrected it. I walked out feeling very frustrated and angry at the mistreatment. I've worked as a retail shop manager for years, I've never been treated so poorly by a manager of a shop, and never quoted so wrongly about Irish retail law. I'll be taking the...
