My grandaughter brought me on a tour around clonakility and we visited the factory a few days ago. I paid 15€ online for the tour and ican firmly say the worst 15€ I have ever spent . The tour was so short although it had so much information on how there products are made and how it all started. Atthe end of the tourthere was a tasting and a free drink included . Me and mygrandaughter were first at the tasting and the waitress slowly mader her way over to us she spoke under her breath taking our drink order and i couldnt hear her at all . Our tea came about 7 minutes later and another group of people taking the tour came in. Immediatley they got there drinks and tea etc . The waitress told me our tastings would be out in 3 minutes . The other table already got theirs .we waited about 15 minutes for ours and by then are tea was stone cold. While we were waiting the receptionist came by and i told her we were still waitnig for our samples and she pretended she couldnt hear Me . The tstings came about 5 minutes after that and the pudding was just horrible it was like they reheated it 20 times over just disgusting and dry. The sausages were exactly the same horrible . we told the receptionist on the way out and she completley resisted our complain I am disgusted and never...

The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitor Center and Tour is an amazing experience!! I arranged for a private tour for 18 people just last week. The tour is very interesting and interactive, telling you not only about the history of the products they provide, but also depicting life at different times through their history. Each stage of the tour is a different scene where you and your friends can be very interactive within that scene and have some fun (and take great pictures!). And at the end of the tour, we all sat down in their dining room and had a fantastic lunch, sampling the products along with bread, tea and coffee. They also cater to vegetarians as well. The puddings, the sausages, the rashers, and the rolls were all so good!!!! I wish that ww could get them in the United States… Hopefully one day we will! Thank you so much to Noelle and Philippa Who were so gracious Throughout setting this up and the tour and lunch!!! We had a...

A little gem of a spot! Spotted this online and being fans of the Clonakilty black pudding we decided it would be a novel venture to learn more about it. It's a self guided tour where you have a headset and can take your time looking at each portion (especially handy when you have a small child) there's some interaction points too. After the tour there's a tasting of the puddings on offer, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked the vegetarian option - although the black pudding is the clear King in my book. A portion of cocktail sausages included too. Also tea/coffee is provided, our coffee was perfect too. The staff in the taster area were so lovely and even allowed us move closer to the kitchen so we could keep a better eye on our son when he played with the kitchen. Hit the giftshop after and got some souvenirs, they even have a fridge so you can buy the puddings to take home with you! 10/10 for a little trip around...

Who'd have thought of a visitor centre dedicated to black pudding and who'd have thought it would more than prove to be worth the visit. As a proud Lancastrian black pudding is synonymous with Bury black pudding, but I'm married to a Scot for whom it is Stornoway black pudding that rules the roost. The exhibition was extremely well done, giving the history of black pudding in its different forms around the world and then telling the story of Clonakilty and it's famous black pudding. Then at the end you get to sample the products, black, white and vegetarian pudding together with sausages and bacon all washed down with a cup of coffee or tea. Great way to spend an hour or so. Go on give it a try you might surprise yourself.
