Maybe not the "best"of neighborhoods but whenever I go there, I love it. I've eaten BBQ kabobs at night in small unnamed restaurants and been the on a Friday afternoon when things were fun and crazy. Prices were high for a shouk but worth it for the experience. People are lovely and it's not as cramped as other shouks in Israel either. I'm definitely going back there.

A large market that has undergone a facelift in recent years has taken a beautiful shape, walking around there feeling like in the sand, the place is very clean, parking around for free. Fruit and vegetable market and meat and spices can be found here everything, even restaurants. A particularly busy weekend.

Gotta say - I really like HaTikvah Market. It still feels very authentic and not touristy. The produce is very good, and it's a great place to hang out with your kids for a half hour and show them the ropes. You can also get steals like Ice Drinks for 2 NIS, and the sellers are mostly very friendly to kids.

As I stroll through the bustling Tikvah Market in southern Tel Aviv, I can't help but notice the throngs of shoppers jostling for space amidst the vendors' stalls. While this market may lack the charm of its more established counterparts like the Carmel Market, I must warn you, dear reader, to be wary of the unsavory characters that lurk in its midst.

In my experience, the vendors here can be a bit rough around the edges, and you're more likely to encounter pickpockets and drug addicts than at other markets in the area. However, despite these drawbacks, the Tikvah Market still boasts some of the best Iraqi Pita you'll find in all of Israel (and believe me, I've sampled my fair share!).

That being said, I must confess that I haven't frequented this market in some time - in fact, it's been at least five years since my last visit. The aforementioned safety concerns have made me a bit apprehensive about returning, but for those of you who are feeling brave, I encourage you to give it a try. Just be sure to keep your wits about you and hold onto your valuables tightly!

A real, hard-core Tel Aviv market. Not as made-for-tourists as HaCarmel. I totally recommend checking it out. I think it's also slightly cheaper if you're there to do some actual grocery shopping 😊 Some must haves are the Saloof bakery for some great Yemenite delicacies. But beware, it entails lots of carbs, but so worth it! I mean, where else would you find something as rare as this? I can also vouch for the authenticity of their items, they taste as they should! And the all time winner: pomegranate juice (during season). I usually have it on a side street...

Much cleaner than last visit. But Prices are not soo cheap and comparable to Carmel mkt or Jaffa. But fresh? Fish and Beef all stalls looked "ify" to me and after miltiple purchases from different places Never again! Yes it is cheap meat. I rather pay more and not get sick I will not buy anything except vegtables, deli, packaged goods and bulk drinks there. And stay away on Fridays unless you like extreme crowds of Zommbie like walking people. Mondays and Wednesday seems is when all stalls are restocked and produce looks fresher and...
