Our family was vacationing in Rome at the height of the summer heat wave so we decided to get to the beach. We found this place and easily booked umbrellas and chairs online for about $25/person. The chairs were very nice with an overhead shade option. The umbrellas were equipped with hangers so bags stayed out of the sand. (Sand was very hot so bring flip flops). They sell cold drinks, bar drinks and grab and go food as well as restaurant food.

There’s no changing room so you have to change in a phone booth sized toilet so that was a bit tricky but not impossible. The restaurant served very good food including the spaghetti vongole which others mentioned on Google reviews. We also had a nice seared tuna steak.

The beach was clean and smooth sand and they took credit cards except for the .20 euro shower to use to get sand and sea off. That was not private, just something to wear your bathing suit in.

During our stay in Rome we wished to spend a day near a beach and as it turned out this was the perfect pick. Easy to get there - direct train from Roma termini.

Clean, not so crowded beach with white sand and clean water. Nice and attentive staff at the seaside cafe.

Sand heats up quickly, so slippers are suggested.

Presence of underwater dunes make the beach child and non-swimmer friendly, as the water doesn’t go deeper quick. Likewise, beach is watched by a hired lifeguard.

Sunbeds and an umbrella for 2 cost us 25 euros total. A shower is provided for 20 cents per person. Changing room is available and free of charge.

Frequento questo stabilimento da diversi anni e continuo a sceglierlo con piacere. La location è molto bella, anche se le scalinate possono risultare un po’ scomode. L’acqua è sempre pulita, i lettini e gli ombrelloni sono ben disposti e offerti a un prezzo più che onesto. La cucina è ottima e lo staff ,giovane ma competente , è sempre gentile e disponibile.

Tuttavia, durante la mia ultima visita, ho vissuto un episodio spiacevole legato al servizio granite. Il signore che le prepara era visibilmente in uno stato di alterazione e non riusciva a gestire con lucidità le ordinazioni e le richieste dei clienti. C’era evidente confusione e disorganizzazione, e questo ha influito negativamente sull’intera esperienza.

Dopo aver ricevuto la mia granita, mi sono subito accorta che il sapore era decisamente strano. Anche le persone al mio tavolo l’hanno assaggiata e hanno confermato che il gusto era ambiguo e sgradevole, tanto che nessuno è riuscito a consumarla ed è stata direttamente buttata via.

Quando ho provato a segnalare il problema, sono stata accolta con modi sgarbati. Mi è stato fatto assaggiare il gusto in un bicchiere a parte, che in quel caso sembrava corretto, ma non corrispondeva affatto a quello della granita ricevuta. Senza che io chiedessi nulla, la risposta è stata che, se non mi piaceva, con altri 3,50 € potevano farmene un’altra. Nessuna scusa, nessuna volontà di rimediare.

Considerando che la maggior parte dei gusti proviene da marche economiche da supermercato (Blues-Eurospin) e che il prezzo della granita è tutt’altro che basso, è lecito aspettarsi un prodotto migliore, ma soprattutto un atteggiamento più professionale e rispettoso.

Un vero peccato, perché lo stabilimento nel suo insieme è ben organizzato e merita. Mi auguro che episodi come questo vengano gestiti meglio in futuro, per tutelare la qualità del servizio e la soddisfazione...
