Loved it here, it was so scenic. An aperol spritz enjoying the view was the perfect way to end the day. I loved being surrounded by the cows :)

Wifi: Yes

Food: The food was good here, the breakfast pastry they had was really tasty.

Rooms: The beds were very comfortable, outlet located near the door.

Bathrooms: Serviceable, no scenic views though. Showers were 5 euro for 4 minutes of hot water, and there weren't any warnings before the hot water turned off. I had to finish my shower with cold water, which certainly woke me up haha. The shower was separate from the bathrooms (unlike some other places), and it was a bit cramped. I was still more than happy to have any shower at all by this point in the...

We stayed at Citta di Fiume while doing the AV1, which offers spectacular views of the Pelmo. This is a standard apline refuge (more so that the more ritzy rifugios on the first few days of the AV1). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The food was solid -- we had gnocchi with ragu for lunch, which was great. For dinner, we had penne with rague, roast chicken with potatoes, speck and eggs w/potatoes, and a tart for dessert. It wasn't the best food we had on the AV1 but definitely not the worst (maybe 3.5 / 5).

The rooms upstairs are TINY -- maybe the smallest we had on the whole AV1 - and give you almost no room to maneuver. They also get very hot at night, as there is very limited...

Favourite stay in the AV1. Simple rifugio that tries to be environmentally conscious. Loved the family vibe, Mario is extremely kind, Carlotta brightened up the place with her smile, the whole team was friendly and felt happy to be there. Plenty of space outdoors to lie on the grass or sit at the benches. Great views.

Potable water: No

Food: Great food with gluten-free and lactose-free options, though with smaller portions than other rifugios

Rooms: Small but serviceable, you will need a bed liner

Wifi: Yes

Bathrooms: Showers were 5 euro for 4 minutes of hot water which was more than enough for two of us. Bring your own towel...
