I need to find the perfect words to describe this perfect place! If I could I'd definitely give more than 5+ stars! I recently had the pleasure of staying at I Carusi, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambience of the hotel was inviting and calming, with a beautifully designed interior that perfectly balanced modern luxury with cozy comfort. From the moment you walk in, I felt like I was in a serene retreat, with tasteful decor and soothing lighting creating an atmosphere that was both elegant and relaxing.

The service was impeccable throughout the stay. The staff, Stefania and Moussa (hope am spelling name correctly were incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to go out of their way to ensure that every need was met. This also applies to the owner, Ms Simona and her husband who are incredible hosts. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were warmly welcomed with a personal touch that made us feel valued as guests. The staff were always available to assist with recommendations or requests, without ever being intrusive.

The room itself was a true highlight—spacious, immaculate, and equipped with every amenity possibly needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the high-quality linens and pillows made for a perfect night’s sleep. The bathroom was sleek and modern, with a rain shower and luxurious toiletries that added an extra level of indulgence. The attention to detail was evident in every corner.

When it came to dining, the food was outstanding. I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, and each meal was a culinary delight. The menu offered a variety of delicious options, each beautifully presented and packed with flavour. Whether it was the fresh, seasonal ingredients (@km0) or the skillful preparation, every bite was memorable. The staff at the restaurant were knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes they served, which only added to the overall experience.

All in all, the stay at I Carusi was flawless. Every aspect—from the ambience and service to the room and food—was top-notch, making it an experience I will not soon forget. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing escape with excellent service and...

While the location and room was lovely, the remainder of our stay including the management team and service was anything but.

We received our bill upon check out and there were several items on the bill that we had not agreed to. When we asked to speak with management (or anyone more senior than the staff member on reception), we were informed they would not speak with us. We offered to pay the remainder of the bill and resolve the disputed charges with management later but we were informed that if we did not pay the bill in full (including the disputed charges) that the receptionist would be forced to pay the difference in the charges out of their own pocket. We felt extremely uncomfortable not paying the bill on this basis so we ended up paying and advised that we would be reaching out to resolve with management separately after check out. It has been several weeks of following up with emails now and we still have not had a response from management.

In terms of the restaurant: It was overpriced and the quality of the food was not up to the standard of the price charged. The breakfast service was also underwhelming. I would recommend going to Manna Noto restaurant nearby instead - it was far superior (and the hotel there also looks amazing).

We stayed 6 nights at i Carusi and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The hotel itself is beautiful and of a very high standard. The setting, views and surrounding landscape are also incredibly beautiful. It’s a perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with amazing service.||The food is also exquisite. The chefs have done an amazing job at creating a seasonal menu of classic dishes with a contemporary twist… and it’s all delicious. They also have an all-Sicilian wine list which is exceptional. Even if you don’t stay here you should definitely visit for lunch or dinner. ||Perhaps what makes i Carusi truly unique and magical are its wonderful staff. We were made to feel very welcome and were looked after very well by the warm and friendly team. Nothing was too much trouble. In particular, Giuseppe - who helped arrange an incredible tour of Syracuse and Ortigia for us - was wonderful, and so was the owner’s son, Andrea, who was incredibly attentive and made our stay very special.
