We went to the beach after sightseeing Pisa and Lucca based on the reviews in Google. There is a cantina style eatery where we ate delicious pasta and beer for 15 Euros per person.

Parking is 2.50 Euros.

Then we went to the beach, where almost all sunbeds were empty. We were told they were paid till September and to go pay for sunbeds. We went to the ticket office and were told one umbrella is for 4 persons and cost 10 Euros.

We bought one as we were 3 persons. We were put on 12th line next to the toilets and then another person came and yelled to buy another umbrella as it is for 2 people. He threatened to call the police and evict us all if we understood correctly. So we went and bought for 6 Euro another sunbed for 1 person.

I am not sure was it the language barrier as we didn't speak Italian and they didn't speak English but the whole impression was quite swayed in the wrong direction. Otherwise the beach is sandy and seems okay, as we saw it from 11 empty lines of sunbeds. The first line is quite crowded as people come with their umbrellas and put them along the sea.

As we toured Tuscany in the previous days and went to the beaches in the South and explored Rimini 4 days earlier, I will definitely recommend to go to another beach. I am not sure beach experience should include yelling to your customers. Beach 1 star Food 5...

Ein supersauberes Bagno mit sehr nettem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Wenn man mit dem gebrochenen Italienisch nicht weiter vorankommt, wird immer ein Mitarbeiter, der Englisch kann, hinzugerufen.

Die Preise für die Liegen sind transparent (wie auf der Homepage) und sehr erschwinglich: 15€/ Tag für Sonnenschirm und 2 Stühle, eine zusätzliche Liege kostet 6€. Ab 13:30h gehen die Preise runter.

In der Hochsaison (August) sollte man im Voraus auf der Webseite buchen, damit man sicher einen Platz ergattert. Dass man vor Ort ggf. „abgewiesen“ wird, hat nichts mit Touristenhass oder ähnlichem zu tun: die Plätze sind schlichtweg bereits reserviert oder/ und verkauft, auch wenn diese leer stehen. Man verkauft eben nicht doppelt.

Das Restaurant hat mittags und abends auf, Snacks, Pizza und Getränke gibt es zu sehr günstigen Preisen den ganzen Tag über.

Am späten Nachmittag gibt es eine Animation für die Kinder - Kindertanz im Meer. Traumhaft!

Abbiamo provato il ristorante di questo bagno situato in direzione calambrone. Parcheggio interno abbastanza ampio ma con pochi posti disponibili per gli avventori "esterni". La sala si affaccia piacevolmente sulla spiaggia ed è sufficientemente ampia x accogliere un buon numero di persone. Si consiglia la prenotazione. Il servizio svolto da due giovani ragazzi è stato veloce e ben eseguito. Abbiamo preso il menù fisso a 15€ e una tagliata di tonno con contorno di friggitelli. Vino bianco frizzante e acqua. Sul menù fisso in considerazione del prezzo posso affermare che ne vale la pena (quello di mare) 2 primi e non assaggi e una gustosa frittura con patatine asciutta. Non è possibile pretendere di più! Ottima la tagliata di tonno e i friggitelli, mentre il pane era aimé un po' secco. Pensiamo proprio di ritornarci con degli amici. Diverse tavolate hanno prodotto un po' di rumore...ma ci sta'! Bravi...
