It was my first via ferrata, and this is NOT easy or beginners. I see many reviews saying it's easy, but this is for people who are used to do via ferrata. We had someone with us with experience and he could help us with some parts where you need to understand a bit of climbing technicalities. Yes, the ladders are not difficult (but exposed), but some parts are quite s challenge if you're not used to. It's not impossible but if you don't have anyone in your group who has done it before I would go with an easier one first. The views however are incredible! And I definitely had fun :) The way down is indeed not technically difficult. It took us about 2.5-3h roundtrip...

There are two different via ferrata routes available: the Ferrata delle Scalette and the Via del Cappellano. These are not recommended for beginners…
In particular, the Ferrata delle Scalette, as the name suggests, involves a series of ladders, with many exposed sections and some overhangs that are quite challenging.
The Via del Cappellano is a bit easier (but it’s still a via ferrata, so don’t expect it to be a “family-friendly” path…).
