The passo is like any passo, busy, nice views. If you are aiming to the top to reach the rifugio be prepared, its quite a walk, steep and long. Great Views from the top are worth it however.

A cool alternative to the top is the Ferrata. Stay to the right after leaving the parking area for may be 1km and follow the signs for 2kms or so. The trail turns left at a huge block to finally reach the entry. It is the easiest climbing level, i had no prob doing it with a 9y old girl - however Ferrata equipment is highly recommended. Without it you could slip and fall, or stones sometimes fall. Once you reached the plateau, keep aiming lefthandside on a lose path towards the refugio visible at the horizon. Then another easy climbing part. The walk back surrounds the mountain in the other side, takes apprx 90mins and can be rough at some...

1 week Italian Dolomites road trip itinerary ⬇️ Day 1: Lago di Carezza Day 2: Alpe di Siusi Day 3: Seceda Day 4: Lago di Braies Day 5: Tre Cime di Lavaredo Day 6: Lago di Misurina Day 7: Passo Giau This is a super simple and relaxed itinerary that will give you lots of time to enjoy each place! There were a few times that I wished I had more time at certain places so when planning your Dolomites road trip, I definitely recommend planning extra time at each location 🇮🇹 #travelguide #itinerary #travelitinerary #travelinggirl #italy #italyadventure #dolomites #dolomitesitaly #exploreitaly #shetravels #adventuretravels

Everything you need to know about the Dolomites 🏔 ✈️ How to get there The Dolomites is served by Venice, Bolzano, Verona, Milan, Munich & Zurich. Most people fly into Venice. From there it’s about a 2.5 hour drive 🚙 Getting around Hiring a car is the best way to explore the Dolomites as public transport in the area can be unreliable. Having a car meant we had complete flexibility to go where we wanted, when we wanted. It also allowed us to change our plans last minute to add a detour to a new spot we’d found. 🏨 Where to stay The Dolomites covers a huge area, and whilst places might look close by on a map, mountain roads don’t lend themselves to speed. It can be helpful to think about the Dolomites in terms of East and West, and if you’re only visiting for a few days I’d recommend basing yourself on one side and exploring it properly, otherwise you’ll spend the whole time driving. You can always come back another time to see the rest. I’d recommend Cortina d’Ampezzo as a base for the Eastern Dolomites, and Ortisei, Santa Cristina, and Selva di Val Gardena for the Western Dolomites. 🏔 Places to visit: Eastern Dolomites: Lago di Misurina Cortina d’Ampezzo Tre Cime di Lavaredo Lago di Braies Passo Giau The Cinque Torri Western Dolomites: Seceda Alpe di Siusi Val di Funes (and Geisler Alm) Val Gardena The Puez-Odle Nature Park Sassolungo 📌 Save this post for your trip to the Dolomites #dolomites #dolomites4you #dolomitesitaly #italiandolomites #dolomitesunesco #dolomitesworld #alpedisiusi #dolomitesmountain #italytravel #italytravels #italytrip #italytraveltips #italydestinations #italytraveldestinations #italyaesthetic #travelitaly #travelitalia #visititaly #thingstodoinitaly #italyvibes #italy_vacations #italytourism #italy_hidden_gems
