We spent 1 excellent night at La Chiana - the whole experience was fantastic. The owner, Salvatore, his family and colleagues, are extremely welcoming and warm people - we genuinely believed we were in a home away from home. The surroundings are beautiful, the atmosphere relaxed and the people (staff and locals) are very friendly and helpful. Stunning views of the valley down to the sea are plentiful and local walks immerse you in authentic Italian villages and countryside. The gardens, farm and swimming pool on site provide a nearby means of relaxation and entertainment - venturing further is a simple matter of jumping on a local bus and heading to town (in less than 15 minutes). Access via car is easy through Meta. In terms of food, it is easy to understand why La Chiana is so popular with the locals - the restaurant is fabulous and the food (some 'home grown') is delectable (so too is the wine!). All in all, La Chiana attains an excellent standard of comfort and service in a stunning rural setting - a rarity indeed, and a highly...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in the end of September, and it was so nice! We really enjoyed our stay, the location, the facilities and the food we got. The location was tucked away a bit from the hustling and bustling from the Sorrento/Vico Equense coast, which was a breath of fresh air. It felt a lot more authentic and local to be up there than down at the coast, which did us well coming back to after a long day. We had rented a car, which made the drive up a lot easier.
The agriturismo is located next to the local football field, which we personally loved. We loved hearing the locals come to train and play in some of the afternoons; it made us feel like we were a part of a local town.
The food served in the restaurant is amazing too! Home cooked with love, and served with amazing (and cheap!) housewine.
Our contact at the agriturismo was Salvatore, who had been nothing but nice, accommodating and helpful to us. Thank you for hosting us and we would love to come again...
Read moreWe spent 8 nights at La China's and it was a wonderful experience. Salvatore and his family are fabulous hosts, the views from the rooms are stunning across the Bay of Naples. The room we had was spacious, clean towels and linen changed regularly and the location was peaceful and off the beaten track. Salvatore gave us lots of ideas for visits around the area and recommended excellent trips and restaurants for us to try. The restaurant on site is extensive with a varied and interesting menu, the house wine made on site is particularly palatable and all very reasonably priced! They have a variety of animals on the farm and all their produce is organic and pesticide free? We had a marvellous holiday and will certainly be back, book and enjoy and see something of the real southern Italian lifestyle.|Thank you Salvatore and all your beautiful family for such an interesting and fascinating experience, Ciao Jo & Norrie, Haggis ( Soffritto)...
