Island Strains Herb House — Local services in Jamaica

Not worth it. When we got there, our taxi driver came in with us, spoke some sort of jamaican language, then the employee went into the back for 10 minutes. when she came back, she told us all of the cheaper strains were sold out, i thought this was not just a coincidence so i said no thanks, but my fiancee felt obligated to buy something for some reason, so she bought a $45 eighth. I take it that the taxi driver was upset when i insisted on going to a dispensary rather than purchase his wares, so he conspired with the store employee to hustle us. Within an hour, I met a farmer who supplies island strains, providing us with the same strains, and same quality for half the price. this is absolutely a tourist trap and i would avoid at all costs. If anything, it would be an okay spot to smoke products you get elsewhere, but you can do that anywhere. They didn't request to show them our medical cards so I guess...

Island strains is a medical Cannabis store on the hipstrip from montegobay. It was one of the earliest first on Jamaica. Next to the 2727 nightclub, which belongs to the shop aswell.

Prices are - typical tourist areas - one of the highest I found around the island. Quality of the stuff is okay, but nothing fancy, spectacular.

Staff is kind of business friendly, without any motivation.

And even when you spend your money in the shop, after a 10US registration-fee (for a pseudo medical attest) - they do not provide with a grindr or papers to use in the smoking room. Shame on them.

4 years ago, at my first visit - they were high motivated - and there was soul in the store. But that's long time ago. Unfortunately.

So, finally not the preferred source to get good stuff...

The best dispensary on Island. Great vibes, good music and food. Perfectly location on the hipstrip, and overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The 27/27 and Island Strains dispensary, is the former location of the original Hotel Casa Blanca. The remodeling of the building is great, giving patrons a place to relax, after enjoying all of Jamaicas culture. Island Strains provides, quality cannabis for patients and an indoor smoking room, equipped with A/C, flat screen TV, and a wide selection of books.
