We wanted to hike Hakusan this weekend. I saw a sign that said ヤマビルご注意！ (Be careful of yamabiru!) but had to look up what yamabiru was. We found out it’s land leeches. We went through the gate and walked for a little bit but then there were leeches crawling into my shoes! It was horrifying, so we gave up. We hope to go again when it’s not so damp outside!

Nice and quiet area to hike with some steep uphill and downhill sections. The paths are well marked throughout and the top could use some tree trimming for a better view.
