Goraikou Sanso - New 7th Station — Local services in Fujinomiya

This mountain hut is located on the new 7th station on the Fujinomiya (blue) trail.||I came without a reservation as I had originally booked the hut at 6th station, but decided to continue climbing. They accepted my walk-in, I reached at about 6pm.||Despite being rather empty, they initially wanted to give me an upper bunk...but my bag was so heavy I couldn't lift it up and got a lower bunk instead. ||As it was pretty empty (weekday in July), it wasn't too noisy. However you can hear whenever people walk to the toilet or leave to continue their hike up. From here there is great view and I think this place is great to rest up before the climb to the summit. Be sure to start at 23.00 from here, as the queues from the top are long.
