I stayed there on a weekday in early September. The rooms were not full, but as a foreigner, I paid someone living in Japan to book for me. Turns out, I could have booked it myself once I landed in Japan. They only accept bookings via phone, so that's a bit inconvenient for foreigners.
Overall, it was great. I had a small curry rice for dinner, and since I'm not a big eater, it was enough for me. For breakfast, I had two buns and a pack of coffee. The staff were friendly, and Ms. Nagai speaks fluent English, so communication was not a problem. The toilet is outside the hut, and you are provided with a sleeping bag and a futon.
The hike to the summit takes less than 30 minutes, which is great. I highly recommend this place.
Price: 9000 yen on weekdays, including dinner and breakfast.
Check-in: 7:00...

I highly recommend you to stay here because one of worker speaks really good English and all workers will take care of you really well. When we got there, first thing they did was took our backpacks. It was good release for my shoulders and easy to take my shoes off and I was able to help my boys. And we go thru basic rules at the hut in English. (We are American/Japanese married and speaking English most of the time) Ms.Nagai is the one go thru rules with us and her English is really good. If you are English speaker, you will have ZERO issue communicating with her. The place you are going to sleep is one sleeping bag size per person. Shoulder to shoulder. They were hanging white cloth in between different groups so we had some privacy. If you got cold at the night, they give you extra blanket. But during our stay, my younger one got high altitude sickness and he threw up. The guy caught my sonâs vomit helped my son to calm down. Asked us to go out side and get fresh air. He gave him a plastic bottle with hot water so he can stay outside comfortably and moved us to the downstairs where we donât have lots of people sleeping with and my son can get more oxygen. My son got better in the morning and we were able to make it to the summit and safely back to home. I really appreciate what they done for us and gave my boys a such a great experience and memories in...
