Actually I'm not quite satisfied for but ONE reasons: the friendliness of staff

While I say 'staff' rather than 'staffs' here, I mean there's only one staff who is extremely unfriendly, or to say even rude and aggressive. While I was talking to my friend, there's a grandma like staff who thought I was talking to her, but I didn't realise this at the time, so I asked her 'are you talking to me? how can I help' in Japanese (I'm not a master in Japanese so I can but only say things words by words); hearing my words which might not sounds fluent, the old-lady interrupted me in an absolutely rude manner by leaving away while I was speaking, impatiently, and started to talk to another staff that I'm "うるさい(noisy as bothersome)", she even said that words RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME for SEVERAL times!

Wow, considering that you paid for 15,000yen per person just for a private room in 5th station for but just one night while at the top of mountain you only need to paid for 8,000, I don't really understand what have I done wrong in paying extra but received a far more terrible service, I have absolutely NEVER seen any person in my entire life who is absurd as rude like that old lady, not to mention all of the incident was merely caused by an misunderstanding, but she won't even wanted to hear my explanation, besides I don't see the point I made anything wrong in this occasion

Anyway, rest of the staffs are mostly helpful and instructive, for example, one of the staff brought me a slice a watermelon 🍉 after dinner as complimentary, and he's always patiently answering everything in English, I sincerely appreciate for his kindness; but only, that old lady, she really ruin my day early in the morning before I started to climb mountain Fuji

If you want to stay in here, I'd probably advise you keep your mouth shut just in case she ever find a chance to say 'you are a bothersome person', yes, right in...

DON'T STAY HERE! First off, it is WAY too expensive, 14000 yen pp for 1 night in a room where you need to make your own bed and it is extremely noisy, especially considering a hut on the mountain is about 8000-10000 yen with dinner included. (Note: I speak Japanese) They were unclear about what time the dinner was so we thought it was from 5, apparently it was at 5. One of the staff was super invasive and aggressive and kept annoyingly demanding we come inside. They did not give us a check out time at all so we assumed we could leave whenever we wanted, we were still in bed half naked and all of a sudden they opened the door, which you cannot lock by the way!!! So it is not a private room because they can get in...

Did not stay overnight. Only had lunch here. I didn't know there was accommodation options. It is definitely unique and mountainy. 25min flat walking path from 5th station, it has been a landmark for a long time and hikers come here to pay homage to the legendary hospitality on Mt Fuji.

We had curry rice and ramen platters in the shed overlooking the valley with mountain mist in the air. The main building has wood burning stove with a water pot just old school welcoming charm to tired and wet and cold climbers. Just plain and simple yet what warming sight and comfort food!

Away from the bus loads of loud tourists this feels more like part of the real Mt Fuji experience without a full 8...

Because camping (building a tent) is not allowed anywhere on the mountain Fuji, the only way how to spend the night is by climbing or staying in one of its many mountain huts on the numerous trails. Sato-goya hut is accessible by bus (well, almost, it is some 20 minutes from the last stop) coming from Fuji station and Kawaguchiko station. It offers a base camp for one day and necessary refreshment if you are just passing by. It is run by a friendly Japanese family with some basic English skills. The place is very clean, well maintained. During the season it can be really cramped so if you want to stay check the availability beforehand, because as I said before staying outside in a tent is a no-no on Fuji-sama.
