Mt. Kamiyama is the highest peak of Mt. Hakone. The summit is surrounded by trees and there is no view. However, the merit of this mountain is not at the summit but in the view of Mt. Kanmurigatake, Owakudani Valley, and Mt. Fuji on the mountain path from Owakudani. Unfortunately, as of 2018, this climbing road is out of bounds due to volcanic regulations. 神山は中央火口丘の中心で箱根連山の最高峰です。大涌谷駅から登るハイキングコースでは途中まで富士山の眺めは良いですが、山頂は灌木が繁り展望はありません。しかしハイキングコース途中の「大涌谷分岐」や早雲山付近に「ベニバナヒメイワカガミ」という山野草の群生地があり、平年5月下旬頃に小さなピンク色の花が咲きます。ベニバナヒメイワカガミを目当てに神山に登るハイカーも多いです。またマメザクラという平地より花が小さい桜の木が多く、5月中旬は登山道のあちこちで満開になります。ただし2015年からの火山活動活発化により、2018年1月現在まで登山道は立ち入り禁止になっています。規制の詳細や今後の解除等など新しい情報は、気象庁や神奈川県箱根町のウェブサ...
