This large tower-style gate is itself normally gated off so you can't walk through it (I would give it an extra star if you could!), but you can walk around it through the small side gate. It is a typical tower gate in many ways; best viewed in autumn when the leaves...

2024年11月 嫁さんとDAX125に二人乗りで来ました。 久安寺に着いて、まずはこの楼門から…と テレビやYouTubeでも出ている若一 光司さんの若一調査隊で予習、復習している嫁さんが「楼門は道路向こうから撮るといいみたいよ〜」というアドバイス。 往来の多い423号に気をつけながら撮影、行った日、日曜日は楼門が開いており、門をくぐることが出来ました。 奥まった仁王さん、見るからに古い室町時代の楼門 後でまわることになる 池田最古の像が展示してある所に、江戸時代の今で言う空撮の絵、ここ久安寺の敷地他一帯を描いた絵がある、そこに書かれた楼門が当然当時と変わらぬ位置にある事に また同じそこに立っていることに歴史の重みと経過した月日を感じました。 道路に面しているし、大きく重たそうな櫓組や屋根を持つため老朽化も心配ですが こんなに家から近い所に1300年前の建造物が今なお残っていることに驚くとともに、そこに興味を示さず、幾度も、何年、何十年もバイクで素通りしていた自分に驚く。
