Joined a tour and visited a salmon festival (鮭祭り) before the beach in October and it was awesome.
Local Japanese people gathered there and had fun eating local gourmet like fried soba, okonomiyaki (お好み焼き), sweet snacks and of course the local signature salmon soup (石狩鍋). All food were delicious and price was reasonable.
There were also traditional Japanese game booths and you could see kids enjoying playing all those little games.
People also did the traditional ritual along with some performances, which was truly an incredible and interesting experience that one has to do in Japan.
