It seems like you might be referring to the Gozaisho Ropeway (御在所ロープウェイ), which is a popular aerial tramway in Japan. Here's some information about it:

Gozaisho Ropeway: Location: The ropeway is located on Mount Gozaisho (御在所山) in Mie Prefecture, Japan, near the city of Yokkaichi. Purpose: It provides access to the summit of Mount Gozaisho, which is part of the Suzuka Mountain Range. Scenery: The ride offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and, in the autumn, vibrant fall foliage. In winter, the area is known for its beautiful snowscapes. Summit Activities: At the top, visitors can enjoy hiking trails, a observation deck, and seasonal activities like skiing or snowboarding in winter. Duration: The ropeway ride takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the summit.

If you're planning to visit, it's a great spot for nature lovers and photographers, especially during the autumn and...

It’s really beautiful on winter, but when I went there there was too much snow. At the top it was impossible to walk around and take good photos. One thing that I hated is that they make you get into the cabin with many other strange people, it gets crowded and uncomfortable. Since there were not many people waiting to use the ropeway I thought I would be allowed to go alone, but NO. I had to squeeze myself with 5 other people. The ropeway ticket is expensive, 2600 yen and we don’t have a satisfying experience. We can’t get nice angles for pictures because it’s super crowded, we can’t have a nice view, it’s ridiculous. Maximum of 4 strangers should be allowed for cabin. If it’s a group of friends or a family it’s fine to put 6 people, but a group of strangers, all squeezed together trying to take pictures, trying not to bother each...

The view from the Gozaisho Ropeway was spectacular, especially on a clear day. The queues for the ropeway are long on weekends and holidays, so I recommend going on a weekday if possible. It takes another 10 minutes by lift to reach the summit, but from the top you are rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree view of the strangely shaped rocks and large boulders, Lake Biwa in the distance to the west, and a panoramic view of the Nohbi Plain and Ise Bay to the east, making this a must-see spot at least once in a lifetime. There is also a Fujimidai observation deck from which you can occasionally see Mt. Fuji, a spectacular...

古いロープウェイですが、頂上まで一気に行けます。 霧が掛かっていて見晴らしは悪かったのですが天気が良い日は見応えがあるかと思います。
