Oita Airport — Local services in Kunisaki

It is a small airport with mostly local flights within Japan. There are restaurants on the second floor, and there is a bus ticket counter on the first floor, just right where the arrival lobby is. You can buy tickets to Beppu, Oita, Kitasuki, Nakatsu or other neighboring towns. It is usually cheaper to buy both way ticketsw. Also, there is an information center, prayer room, mother's room and many other facilities. Most of the counters have English speaking staff, so language should not be a problem. Last but not least, on the first floor there is a foot bath - Transitional Japanese Foot Spa. It is free of charge and I think you should definitely give it a try while you are there....

典型的な地方空港ではあるが、大分市街からかなりの距離があるため、あまり利用しやすいとは感じられないかもしれない。基本的に車移動のみで、大分市街と大分空港の間には温泉街として有名な別府があるため、特に別府市内を通過する際は頻繁に渋滞する。高速バスでも1時間程度の行程だが、混雑時は1時間30分～2時間を要する場合もあり、目的の飛行機に搭乗できない可能性もある。より一層余裕をもった行動を強いられる要素が多いため、場合によっては鉄道を利用して博多・小倉・北九州空港を利用した方が効率的に移動できるかもしれない。 空港内は、数は多くないものの土産物ブースやレストランもあるため、搭乗手続き前の時間調整に利用できる。また他の地方空港と比較して充電用のコンセントも多く備わっている。 時間通りに到着すれば特に問題無く利用できるため、交通手段を見直したり余裕をもった行動を心掛けたい。
