2022/8/17 苔の美しい庵寺で、秋には紅葉、深い雪に包まれた景色も見事です。曹洞宗(禅宗)。開祖は約1,300年前、藤原鎌足の息子である不比等の妻、雲洞尼僧が背後の金城山から湧き出る霊泉で病人を多く治癒させ、この地に庵を結んだのが始まりです。没後、息子の房前が尼僧院を建立し、以来、女性救済の庵寺として信仰を集めました。そして、約600年前に、藤原の血を引く上杉家が曹洞宗雲洞庵を開創開基し、本堂や参道の端緒となる赤門もこの時期に創建されました(いずれも約300年前に再建)。参道の下には法華経が埋められており、参道を踏みしめてお参りすると御利益にあずかると深く信仰されており、「雲洞庵の土踏んだか」が越後で広く言われる様になった所以です。秀吉に重用された上杉景勝、直江兼続が本庵で教育を受けた事も有名です。宝物殿には武田信玄直筆の書状や伊藤若冲の画などが展示されています。拝観時間9時～16時半、拝観料300円(子供100円)、無料駐車場有り、トイレ...
