Nagasaki is the last city we are visiting in our 17-day vacation. I booked the i+Land hotel because of its appealing website and positives review on Agoda. So I hope my experience is an exception because I will not recommend or return to this resort based on the service I received at front desk, and no elevator to the second floor with narrow stairs.
Foremost, the unprofessional service.
It was around 6:40pm on 15/Dec. The lady greeted me at the front desk, and asked if I speak Japanese because her English no good. I didn’t know speaking Japanese is required to stay here, especially when the resort is huge. I was dumbfounded but she kept on speaking Japanese. Even tho, when I respond in English she seem to understand.
Then, the hotel got my names shuffled around. My last name was my middle name and first name was broken up into first and last name in opposite sequence. I’ve booked most of my hotels on Agoda using the same Chinese name. But this doesn’t matter, the unprofessional act was when I tried to have my name corrected. She responded Oh and went back to typing in her computer, then came back continue on asking me to sign the hotel slip WITH THE WRONG NAME! I mean, a white-out to correct the name would work if she doesn’t have the delegation to create another piece of document, or whatever. But no, I was asked to signed on the hotel slip while given breakfast coupon - again with the WRONG name. How polite is this?
Lastly, the no elevator thing is not the only thing that is unfriendly around this place, it is everywhere. Aren’t luggages be expected at hotels? The only ramp to the front desk is around the corner of the front desk office, and not to the front door, SIDE DOOR, like some puppies? Then the hotel room. We were being put on the second floor initially and that is when we found out there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow and steep. We can’t hand life a 30 kg of luggage up there. Why would anyone be expected to?
Credit to the front desk lady tho, she did changed our room to first floor when asked.
But still. I stand by my testimonial.

Read moreI recently visited i+Land Nagasaki and decided to rent a bicycle to explore the island and visit the Iojima Lighthouse. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing and ruined my entire day.
The condition of the bicycle I rented was appalling. The rear wheel was constantly being rubbed by the mudguard, making it extremely difficult to ride, especially uphill where it felt like I was pedaling against a wall. To make matters worse, the tires were almost flat, and I had to pump them myself before starting the ride. The brakes were also in terrible condition—weak and unresponsive—which made riding downhill feel extremely dangerous. I was constantly worried that I wouldn’t be able to stop in time.
With such poorly maintained equipment, it’s hard to enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere of Iojima. I expected much better service from a resort that prides itself on providing top-notch experiences. If you plan on renting a bicycle here, I’d recommend checking the condition thoroughly beforehand, or better yet, avoid...
Read moreIs overpriced, the lodge is spacious and is a top tier resort hotel, maintained very well. However the facilitate is mainly located in Nagi hotel area including the surprising small spa in within the hotel. Well is not fun to travel on your car (5mins drive) to the spa and laundry area back and forth
The Island Lumina is not for kid if yours are normally not good at dim environments; plus the only commute is with the hotel shuttle, which requires a bit of waiting time(10+ mins around 8pm)
The lodge is often sold on various travel agents website, however is kinda far from other facilitates, only for those who loves to stay inside spacious resort hotel room.
The dinner, i had, was a bbq plus hot pot, fair quality and more than enough quantity. The beverages are on additional charges, not recommend for those who enjoys traditional Japanese ryokan style.
The play kids garden is the only I would recommend which is a spacious area for my 3 year old to...
