「隠れキリシタンの寺」と呼ばれる本門法華京都妙蓮寺末 揚柳山 本行寺(ほんぎょうじ)です。 キリシタン大名として知られる高山右近が身を潜め宣教を続け、禁止されていたキリスト教の信者が集ったことから「キリシタン寺」とも呼ばれています。 また、隠れキリシタン巡礼の本懐「ゼウスの搭」があるほか、もみじが綺麗なお寺であることから「紅葉寺」とも呼ばれています。

能登お宝イベントで大々的に情報誌でアピールしていたから、行ったけど管理者もいないし、電話してくれって書いてあったから何度も電話したけどでないし帰った。 いなくても見れたのは高山右近の象のみ ゼウスの塔も非公開と書いてあった お隣の前田家ゆかりの寺、○歳寺はちゃんと案内してくれた

本門法華宗で山号は揚柳山。｢ようりゅうざん｣と読むのかな。 文明年間に我国茶道の祖といわれる圓山梅雪が創建しました。天正13年に加賀藩主･前田利家公の命で現在地に移転。周囲に堀を巡らせ、堂宇を武装させて城の本丸として機能するようにしました。 天正16年に当時フリーの武将だった高山右近が前田利家公によって金沢に招かれたことから能登との縁が始まる。当時すでに洗礼を受けていた右近は慶長の始め頃、修道所を建設したいと藩主に申し出たところ七尾の本行寺付近に建つこととなった。現在では修道所の井戸跡や住居跡が遺っています。本堂前には凛々しい姿の高山右近像がありました。隠れキリシタン達が仏教様式の墓に見立てた塔(ゼウスの塔)もありますが、こちらは一般非公開になっています。 境内には山門と本堂、そして三十番神堂。鐘楼はあったかな？ 紅葉の名所としても知られています。山門越しの紅...
