I took the full day private lesson (Beginner Package) and I was very lucky to get Yoshi-sensei (the owner) as my instructor for the day since I only booked the day before (very lucky!! don't be like me and please reserve in advance!). I have nothing to say but ONLY THE BEST praise for Niseko Epic Snow School 👍👍👍
This was my first time skiing and by the end of the day I was able to learn so much about skiing and felt that skiing is a lot of fun!
Yoshi-sensei is very kindhearted, caring, and patient as an instructor and also our driver for the day. He was very on time as he picked me up 5 minutes before our agreed time on the hotel that I am staying. After that we headed to his shops which contains the rental ski equipment. I was able to rent the whole equipment separately as add-on outside the basic beginner package. Initially we thought my winter coat would suffice for skiing but it turns out it's a bit too heavy for ski and he was very generous to rent it to me for free without charging me extra on top of the helmet, goggles and jacket that I rented.
He was also very understanding and very kind. He really looks out for my pregnant wife as well who didn't take the lesson with us, offered to take a picture for both of me and my wife without even me asking for it, and even going out of the way to accomodate her request to go to lunch together in another spot which requires us to commute by his car, though he asked me if I'm ok with it affecting the lesson time since the lunch break is only supposed to be 1 hour (we ended up doing 90 minutes lunch break which I didn't regret at all!)
After the ski lesson, I actually forgot my belongings on the ski resort and we had to drive back twice, which was very troublesome but he was very patient and didn't charge us more even though we had costed more trips than what we originally agreed on.
The lessons are very easy to understand, and he even praised me a few times, which makes me very motivated to learn ski even better next time!
Yoshi-sensei is also very friendly and we were able to have a lot of good conversations during our lunch together and during the commute! I felt like by the end of the day I truly made a new authentic connection here in Niseko & Japan, and I would definitely come back in the future to take more ski lessons with this school!
Thank you so much Yoshi-san and Niseko Epic Snow School! 10 out of 10...
Read moreHighly recommended! I booked a beginner's package with Niseko Epic Snow School and it was a good decision. Yoshi-san was very patient in teaching me. He definitely knows how to teach beginners and he has a positive and encouraging personality, so even if I feel worried that I'm not doing very well, he made it a point to explain to me what I did well and what I need to improve. Initially, I was thinking of booking a group lesson somewhere else but then I saw what this school has to offer, it's a door-to-door service already, they'll pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, basic rentals are included already and the lesson, so it is very convenient for me. They also hold the beginners course in Annapuri which has gentler slopes and less crowded. During fitting of ski wears they were very accommodating too. Overall, it was a very good experience and Yoshi-san and his team took care of me well. So do check them out and read the reviews about them, those were a huge factor on why I decided to choose them. Thank you again, Yoshi! Your patience and encouraging words really helped me a lot today!...

I liked how the school sends beginners to easier slopes instead of just whats close to there hotel. All for a reasonable price.
Coco our snowboarding instructor was very experienced , personable , good at English and a great teacher.
My husband was able to easily pick up how to snowboard through cocos instructions. I couldn't believe it was his first time.
I struggled a bit more ( to be fair I am the most clumsy person I've ever met and I don't have depth perception )but even I got further than I thought I would.
I intended from the start to snowboard for half the day whilst my husband Mike did the whole day. I could tell coco felt bad but he didn't do anything wrong I was just happy with half a day.
When he got back Mike had nothing but high praise about the experience. They even went and got hot chocolate after :)
The only downside I'd say is If your any larger than a Australian woman's 14-16 you'll probably struggle to fit into...
