The famous Lalala sun beach was everything we expected it to be. We were fortunate to have complimentary umbrellas, tent, towels and chairs.
We spent all day here and enjoyed watching the Ocean.
Very busy with people wall to wall but a great experience. * Must come in an early morning before 10 am *

I hope this letter brings a smile to your face! I wanted to tell you about the incredible experience I had at the beautiful human-made beach. The soft sand, crystal-clear water, and the relaxing atmosphere made it feel like a paradise right in the heart of the city. The attention to detail in creating this oasis is truly remarkable, and spending time there felt like a rejuvenating escape.

[English Review] Discovering “Lalala Sun Beach” in Nishi‑Ura, Numazu, was a delightful surprise—renowned for its pristine white sand and crystal‑clear, calm waters. Note that parking costs ¥1,500/day in peak season and is cash-only, so come prepared. The clean facilities—including coin‑operated hot showers (¥200 for 2 min), free cold showers, toilets, and changing rooms—make it a family-friendly escape .
What sets this beach apart is its artificial tide‑pool area alongside the sandy beach—ideal for kids to dip between swimming and exploring tide‑pools teeming with crabs and small fish. Remember to bring water shoes, as there are rocky spots(). The gentle waves and availability of lifejackets make it perfect for relaxed swimming, while on sunny days, you might be treated to a stunning view of Mt. Fuji across Suruga Bay().
For the best experience, arrive early around 7–8 AM to secure a good parking spot; afternoons tend to empty slightly . A beachside snack shop provides basic refreshments, but with no convenience stores nearby, bringing packed lunch and drinks is recommended().
Lalala Sun Beach’s blend of safe swimming, natural exploration, and scenic beauty makes it ideal for families and international visitors alike. Next visit, I’ll be bringing snorkeling gear to take a closer look at the vibrant...
Read moreTiny beach with a view of Fuji on a good day. However, it was far too small and parking was limited and expensive for my liking. Unless you have toddlers with you, I would recommend going to other beaches in the West Izu area for better water, more facilities, etc.
Good for families with toddlers as it is safely enclosed with tide walls, relatively shallow and is clean...
