Oarai 2nd Sun Beach — Local services in Oarai

A decent enough beach, though with dark sand rather than bright white. Not so large but large enough. Nice sea, not much seaweed. Can get crowded but which beach in Japan in summar doesn't? A BBQ area close to the actual sea (but not actually at the seafront), which is nice. While free public showers exist, the water to them gets cut off at 17.00, which is slightly undesirable but one works with what one has. The beach shops are also relatively useless. Also, make sure you have plenty of charcoal and fire starter if you're doing a BBQ as the beach shops don't stock any and you'll have to go to the nearest convenience store (which admittedly is only a max. 10 mim...

Today I visit Oarai 2nd Sun Beach with my friends every body enjoyed pleasant moments and swim in open Ocean. Deep water is much colder then ocean bank water every thing good except shower system. When people come out for Sea salty water and want to go back to home they need to remove sand and salt particles from their bodies but showers system not working therefore visitors only wash their hands and feet under water tap. There are only two water tap not enough to facilitate people at the end...

The beach is very large, I did not find much to eat but I think it depends on the day, the parking lot is very big, there is a bit of rubbish in the water but for being free it...
