Ojiya Station — Local services in Ojiya City

いくつか利用しづらさを感じる駅。 元々改札外にトイレがあったが、2022年に閉鎖されている。一方で改札内のトイレは現在も利用可能である。駅の構造は上下方向別単式ホームで、浦佐・越後湯沢方面に向かうには、改札を入り橋を渡る必要があるが、エレベーター・エスカレーターは設置されていない。車椅子等の障碍を持つ方は駅員の補助が必要になる。 交通系ICカードが利用できる端末が設置されているものの、利用範囲は新潟エリアに限定されているため、長岡や新潟方面へ行く際は問題ないが、浦佐や越後湯沢など南下する場合はSuicaは利用できない（切符を購入する必要がある）。Suicaで入場しても、目的の駅で強制的に入場記録が取り消され、代わりに現金を払わされることになるので注意が必要になる。
