Dangyō Falls — Local services in Okinoshima

A narrow mountain road to the parking lot is about 4 km long and quite narrow, not always suitable for novice drivers (especially with an unfamiliar rental car) -- you should drive carefully. The path from the parking lot through the forest is beautiful, but not necessarily spectacular. I was there in August, the waterfall itself was disappointing, it was not a waterfall, but a trickle of water. Nevertheless -- the place has a quiet atmosphere.

隠岐島に来たら是非とも訪れたいパワースポットです。オススメします。 広い道から3本、細い林道が山側に向かって入っていきます。その真ん中の林道を約5㎞上ったところにあります。林道自体はすれ違うのも難しいくらい細いのですが、車留めのところはそこだけ広くなっていて車が5台くらい停められそうです。 そこからいきなり神域に入ったようになります。200mくらい、平らな道が小川に沿って続きます。川の水は清らかで、まさに心が洗われたような感じがします。 道の最後に石段があり30段ほど登ると山門、それをくぐると小さなお堂があります。お堂の横は小川の終点となっており、高さ30mくらいの絶壁から滝が雨のように降り注いでいます。周りは背の高い樹々で取り囲まれていて大聖堂の内部のようです。 滝の裏側に回って見上げると、ぽっかり丸く空が見えます。滝はまるで雨のようです。 しばらくボーッと眺めていると、心の澱がどんどん洗い流されて、...
