Visited July 29th 2025. If you have no car, you can go by bus from Omihachiman station. However, there is only one bus going there at 9:30 and one bus coming back at 16:20 and the bus doesn’t work on weekends and public holidays which is not convenient. The beach itself is wonderful. The best I have seen on Biwako so far. It is clean, the grass is neatly trimmed, the water is so clear, the allowed swimming area is big and stretches more than in other beaches, the toilet and shower room are convenient. Remember to bring coins for the shower room. It costs 200 yen for 3 minutes. There are also lockers inside the shower room which is good for keeping your valuables while you swim. I don’t remember how much the lockers cost. The beach is open from July 19th till August 24th from...
