IKEA Tsuruhama in Osaka offers the classic IKEA experience — spacious, bright, and full of inspiration for home design. The store is large and well-organized, showcasing fully furnished room setups that make it easy to visualize how items might look in your own space. It’s also very family-friendly, with facilities like Småland (a supervised play area for kids), nursing rooms, and baby carts. The restaurant and café are popular stops, serving the usual Swedish favorites like meatballs, hot dogs, and desserts, along with some local twists such as matcha treats and plant-based options. It’s a comfortable spot to take a break in the middle of a long day of shopping.
Parking is free and abundant, accommodating more than 2,000 cars, and the store even offers shuttle buses from Umeda, Namba, and Taisho for those without cars. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, making it a pleasant weekend destination for families and couples alike. However, weekends can get extremely crowded, with long lines for parking and at the checkout counters. The self-checkout system can be confusing at times, and a few visitors have mentioned that assistance from staff could be more proactive, especially for non-Japanese speakers.
Despite the crowds, IKEA Tsuruhama remains a fun and practical place to visit if you enjoy home decorating or simply browsing for ideas. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and there’s always something new to discover — whether it’s a clever storage solution or a stylish piece of furniture. For the best experience, it’s worth visiting on a weekday or early in the morning to avoid the rush. Overall, IKEA Tsuruhama delivers good value and a pleasant atmosphere, making it a great destination for anyone looking to refresh their living space or enjoy a casual outing...

Some nuances specific to Japan, returns for purchases made by credit card are a bit complicated, more than likely you end up with a gift card that can be used for store credit. The other option is to go through a lengthy process of returning all the funds to the credit card related to the original transaction and issuing a new credit card transaction sans the returned item(s).
Crowded during the weekends (just like most IKEA's), would recommend visiting during the weekdays if possible.

If you live far away, you must spend a lot of car fuel and tolls. I personally recommend that large furniture must be purchased online, and hope that all the accessories in the box are complete when they are delivered. If not, they will replace it for you for free, which is very fair of IKEA.
Disadvantages: Tableware. You really can't buy it online, you have to see the real thing in person. A certain black plate (made in France). It looks very fashionable, and I planned to buy more, but who knew it would fade! Because it is in contact with food and affects health, I immediately went to return it. The staff told me: "You can't return all the plates if one of them fades!" Dear IKEA, we live far away from IKEA, and it takes several hours to go back and forth each time. In addition to the food safety issue, there is also our time. Thank you very much for allowing us to return the goods. I would like to advise everyone here that dishes must not be purchased online. In addition, if there are some defects on the bottom of the bowl in the box, you must open it for inspection after payment. I wish you all a happy shopping! Ps: I hope the staff in the return department will not get angry and throw papers and pens vigorously. We don't mind because it is a problem of your personal cultivation and the image of...
