温泉&サウナ（道の駅 きつれがわ） — Local services in Sakura

Visited on January 13, 2025.Information on a visit to Kitsuregawa Onsen.This is a high-concentration, free-flowing hot spring located in a roadside station.The spring is a highly tonic, neutral, high-spring containing sulfur sodium chloride.The spring temperature is 72.6°C. The pH is 7.4. 90L/m. It is colorless, transparent, strongly salty, and has a petroleum-like hydrogen sulfide odor. Open 10:00-21:30 (admission until 21:00).Men and women change daily.Adults 700 yen (cash only).Shoes box 100 yen returnable, lockers for valuables free of charge, lockers in changing rooms 100 yen returnable.Body soap, shampoo, and hair dryer available.Free WiFi available.There is one indoor bath, a jet bath, a sauna (90°C), a water bath, one outdoor open-air bath, and an outdoor air bath space.

Although it was during GW, it was not so crowded and we were able to relax in the outdoor bathing space.The open-air bath with free-flowing hot-spring water is slightly yellowish-brown in color and has a hydrogen sulfide odor, and the concentration of anions and cations exceeds 1.33%, making it a salty, hypertonic hot spring.Since the concentration of human body fluid is about 0.88%, it is advisable to hydrate yourself well if you take a long bath. やたらに綺麗な設備で、設備面ではホテルの大浴場並みかそれより良い。シャワーが高級品らしくミスト対応で、真夏に風呂で湯でダコ状態の体に冷水ミストを遠距離からかけると体感10℃くらいまで冷えて気持ちいい事この上ない。自動水栓は破格の53秒で、千葉県日帰り温泉最高記録32秒を2倍近く更新し、湯水をケチらない本場の素晴らしい温泉を楽しめた。

室内風呂は無色透明で湯温は自称38℃だが体感は39.0℃。近隣の湯と比較するとものすごくぬるめ設定に振っており、好感が持てる。手触りは肌に滑りがありアルカリ性塩化ナトリウム・炭酸カルシウム泉で無色透明でなめらかな感触だった。自称日本三大美肌温泉。室内風呂は循環濾過だろうが循環湯量がすごく豊富で滝のように噴出し無色透明で硫黄臭はほぼ無い。

屋外露天風呂は若干濁っており温泉成分が濃そうだ。ただし人が集まり芋煮状態。湯冷ましで風呂周囲もヌーディストビーチ状態でごった返していたが、室内風呂は空いていたし、まあいいか。

都心近郊で同じ品質の温泉があったら日帰り3000円だろう。それを日帰り700円で提供は反則ではないか。レンタルバスタオルも200円でけっこう柔らかく合格点。

休憩室は2階でかなり広いが下が木目調ビニル張りで自称大正浪漫スタイル。雰囲気は悪くないが基本椅子着座で全くごろ寝や仮眠ができないイジワル仕様だ。漫画は推定蔵書3000冊で暇つぶしに良いだろう。1階の奥にも和室畳の休憩部屋がありテレビも設置されている。

道の駅に温泉なんて鴨ネギ状態だが、仮眠が全くできない仕様は意地悪だ。とはいえデザインやお風呂の質は最高クラスに良いので、仮眠ごろ寝できない欠点を差し置いても、東京近郊からでもこの目的のために訪問に値する。(ミシュランの星みたいな感想基準だが。)

近隣には栃木県立なかがわ水遊園があり、ベストコースは宇都宮餃子→水遊園→この温泉だろう。宇都宮市内から30-40分ほどで到着するこの日帰り温泉は、栃木県民の宝で、日本全国車中泊派も絶対に寄る価値がある。駐車場は広く、静かなので夜間車中泊にも適する。11:00-18...
