能登半島は通称外浦と呼ばれる半島西北海岸の海蝕崖景観と、内浦と呼ばれる東南海岸の沈降式海岸景観を主体とする公園です。 公園区域は能登半島の海岸線を中心に石川県４市５町、富山県2市におよんでいる。外浦では能登金剛、猿山〜輪島、曽々木・真浦・仁江海岸など、内浦にあっては九十九湾、穴水湾、能登島、七尾湾などが代表的な景観とされていて、どちらも見応えたっぷりです。 また素朴な風土、古い社寺、民家、特異な祭事なども多くあり、こちらも素晴らしいです。
