Excellent. I disagree with most of the negative reviews. Here’s the points I saw people make and my take on them:
Unfriendly Staff: The man was nice and didn't look too old. As with anyone if you smile and are nice to them they do the same to you.
Slow: If you go after a rain, there might be a few points where you have to push yourself. However you can go with other people and it makes it much faster. Also if you bring some WD-40, I bet it would go plenty fast even with one person.
Hot: When I went there (early April) it was perfect temperature. No sweat but also didn't need a jacket. Unlike many roller slides, this one doesn't heat up your but. Also the path up is well shaded
Walk is too long: Some complained that the walk up is too long. As this is the longest roller slide in the world, obviously the walk up is not short. However it's not bad. On my 16th time going up, I got up in 1 minute 23 seconds (sprinting). Someone officially went up 60 times in one day (note that in order to be official, you must tell the staff at the start that you are going for the record).
Also, somehow we were the only ones there which was very nice. As a bonus, you get to...
Read moreA very cool, extremely long roller slide. For 400 yen per adult and 200 yen per child, you can ride it as many times as you can make it to the top (the record as of March 2024 is apparently 60 times... my kids went only 6, though in their defense it was August and boiling). The site provides a foam mat to ride on and gloves to help you slow down, along with detailed descriptions of what happens if you try to use your feet as breaks (it's bad). The slide itself works better the more people go concurrently and the more people are riding in short succession (to keep the rollers rolling). There's a long curve that will slow you down in the middle, but the overall experience is pretty great. Not busy even at the...
Read moreGreat fun. For a small fee (400 yen for adults and 200 yen for children) you can go as often as you want (though the walk to the top limits how many times you can go before you get too hot). You get a hard mat, which means the slide is comfortable, and gloves to protect your hands. Well...
