Dorogawa Hot Spring — Local services in Tenkawa

I was looking forward to a relaxing time in the onsen after hiking a trail in the area, but it was very disappointing... The drain of the outdoor pool in the ladies side makes a gargling noise that really prevented me from relaxing. There are only two pools, an indoor and an outdoor. And there's no cold pool, as you usually find in onsen. Apparently some of the waiting area is closed (maybe due to covid) so everybody is in the reception area before and after going to the changing room and bathing area. That made the entrance feel really crowded. The place actually feels...

The water is not overly hot which is good for me.

The building looks old outside and the bathroom inside is not that old - especially the open-air bath is quite new. Overall it is very relaxing and comfortable.

Free parking for 90 mins if you use the hot spring (700 yen/adult). Otherwise, it is free for the first 30 mins, then 300...

Been to way better, only one bath inside and one small outside. The outside pool makes draining noises so you can't relax. When I was here the inside was noisy due to kids. After bathing there is nowhere to relax. Wish they had a...
