Mount Daichozan is just 192m high and can be easily reached in 15 mints from base. Travel from Kawasaki station, to ride nambu line local and get down at last stop tachikawa. Take another train Ome line and ride few stations to reach Fussa station. Exit to the east and walk around 30 minutes to reach the base location. You can see the shrine where you have to climb stairs. After the shrine you walk for 0.5 m to reach Daichozan. It can't be said as hiking or trekking. Just a half day would be good to spend time there. There is seating arrangement at top and you can continue to another mountain sengenden from Daichozan which is...

草花神社という可愛らしい名前の神社の急な階段を上がってから右に行くとすぐに着きます。気軽に歩ける散歩道という感じで、山頂には四阿とテーブルベンチがあります。冬場は落葉している木々のため東方向が見渡せますが、昭和の頃に見えたらしい都心は確認できませんでした。道は明確で、そのまま北側の羽村大橋の方へ指導標を無視して直進できます。「だいちょうざん」と読むことは山頂の標識を見て知り...
