木漏れ日の中の静かな神社でした。 滞在中も参拝にいらしたのは男性一人。 手荷物などは無く、近所の方が散歩の途中で立ち寄られた感じです。 ここには古い舞台があるのですが、その前に何やら木材や竹を組み合わせた骨組みのような物があって、 『何の工事中だろう。櫓でも建つのかな？』 と思っていましたが、すぐわかりました。 これは１０月に行なわれる舞台の臨時の客席だったようです。 今も現役で使用されているのですね。

樹齢1000年の夫婦の楠が凄い。他にも2本有ります。夕方立ち寄ったのでちょっと霊気を感じました。1300年以上の歴史ある神社です。旧東海道の入口鳥居前に東京角力　錦戸春吉なる碑があった。調べると明治24年錦戸部屋に入門したこの地の出身の関取最高位西前頭15枚目　164cm96kg...
